Known as the Garden City of the Emirates, Al Ain is located at the foot of the mountains in green land where caravans used to have a rest stop. The way from Dubai takes us through the desert scenery, in an 1.5-hour drive to Al Ain from Dubai, you will experience desert life in all its glory. Visit the National Museum where archeological findings dating back to the Bronze and Iron Age are featured, followed by a visit to the Sheikh Zayed Palace Museum to admire its fluid mix of Bedouin-style and modern architecture, the palace used to be the residence of the late ruler Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan from 1927 till ‘60s. Here, you’ll learn more about ancient Emirati customs and traditions.
Visit the beautiful gardens with palm trees, learn about the irrigation techniques, and admire the Al Ain Oasis. After lunch at one of the popular restaurants we will visit Al Ain Camel market which is the one of the biggest in the Middle East. At the various markets, watch the traders haggle over their prices – with wares ranging from fruits to camels.
Head to Jebel Hafeet, a great mountain overlooking the city where you can take in stunning views. Below the mountain is the world’s unique mountain landscape of Green Mubazzarah.
