Fes and Chefchaouen

From Casablanca: 3-Day Private Fes and Chefchaouen Tour

Your tour starts after you are picked up from your hotel in Casablanca. The first stop of your day is the capital Rabat, where you will visit the different sites like the old town, Kasbah Oudaias (complete with its castle), and the Hassan Tower, together with your driver. Afterward, start your drive along the Atlantic Coast until you reach the beautiful small city of Assilah. The blue and white Medina of Assilah is famous for its street art and colorful Murals. Following that, continue your journey into the Rif Mountains until you reach Chefchaouen, where you will stay overnight in a Riad.

The next day, enjoy a free morning in Chefchaouen to explore and see the blue houses and small alleys by foot or go shopping. After lunch, continue to the Roman Ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore the 2,000-year-old Roman ruins on your own or with a local guide for an additional cost. Following the visit, you will travel to Fes where you will spend the night.

On your third day, enjoy a guided tour of the city of Fes with a local guide. Start your tour at the historic gates of Bab Bou Jeloud, before entering the Medina of Fes el-Bali to discover the Islamic schools of the Madrasa Bou Inania and Al-Attarine Madrasa. Next, go to the University of al-Qarawiyyin and visit the Nejjarine Museum of Wooden Arts and Crafts. There you can look at its collection of traditional tools, furniture, carpets, and musical instruments in a beautifully restored caravanserai. Following lunch in the Medina, learn how leather is processed, just as it was centuries ago, at one of the tanneries. Later on in the afternoon you will drive back to Casablanca, where you will be dropped off at your hotel or the Casablanca cruise port.
